In this tutorial, we will guide you step-by-step on how to set up email on your domain or webmail service from cPanel for Google Gmail on Android devices.
As you may know, when you register a domain, you can also create your own custom email address. For example, if your domain is itroz.com, you can create an email like [email protected], or any name before the "@" symbol.

By default, when you register a service with Itroz and set up a website, emails need to be accessed via a browser through the webmail service.

This can be difficult for some people, and many prefer to manage and check their emails using Outlook or, most popularly, Gmail.

That's why in this tutorial, prepared by the Itroz Digital Agency, we will show you how to set up your website email or SMTP on the Gmail app for Android.

How to Set Up Website Email or SMTP on Gmail for Android

The first step is to open the Gmail app. If you don't have this app on your phone, you can download it from Google Play or click on this link.

If you already have the Gmail app, simply open it as shown in the image below.

Open Gmail

After opening Gmail, click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen, as shown below, to access email management.

Go to email management

Now you need to add a new email account to Gmail. Tap on the "Add another account" option as shown below.

Add a new email account

Here, you can choose how to connect to Gmail. Select the "Other" option, as shown below.

Choose connection method

After choosing the connection method, enter your email address. We used [email protected] as an example, but you can use any email you’ve created. These details are usually provided by your hosting provider.

Enter email address

Now you’ll need to select how to connect to Gmail. We will use the “Personal (IMAP)” method, along with a valid security certificate and authentication for secure sending and receiving of data.

Select Gmail connection method

After selecting the connection method, enter the email password. If you purchased your service from Itroz, our support team has already sent you these details. If your provider is different, request this info from them and enter it here as shown below.

Enter email password

At this point, you need to configure the SMTP host. The username and password here are the same as the email address and password you entered earlier, so there’s no need to re-enter them.
For the server name, Gmail defaults to using your domain name, but for Itroz servers, you should add "mail." at the beginning of your domain, as shown below.
Make sure there is a dot after "mail" and then your domain name follows.

Enter SMTP host details

Next, you'll see a similar step for outgoing email management. Here too, simply add "mail." to the beginning of your domain.

Configure outgoing email

After completing this step successfully, your email is almost fully set up in Gmail. Gmail will now ask you to confirm your email settings.

Without changing anything, simply proceed to the next step.

Gmail email settings

Now, you need to choose a name for your email. This name will be shown to recipients when you send emails.
Choosing a name makes your email look more professional and readable, so we recommend that you set a name here.

Choose a name for your email

Congratulations! You have successfully configured your webmail on your Gmail Android account.
